2015 Grant Writing Essay Contest is designed to attract all individuals ages 18 and up to participate in a one day workshop which is designed for educators, church groups, nonprofit organizations and writers wanting to learn how to develop winning grant proposals. Dr. Bruce Sliger is a nationally recognized grant writer and trainer with more than 25 years of grant writing experience. He has helped to obtain millions of dollars in grant funds that are given away each year by federal agencies, foundations, corporations, state and local governments and wealthy individuals. Instructions – Please type a 300 word essay on How Grant Writing Addresses and Benefits the Mission of Nonprofits, Religious Organizations and Schools. Please type in the font of Times New Roman with a font size of 12 and submit via email to: email@example.com. Please double space paragraphs and title the essay. Please include in the top left hand corner your full name, email address, contact phone # and date.
Deadline - for all submittals is February 14,, 2015. "You are encouraged to submit entries early."
Prizes – Workshop attendance prizes: 1st Place – Workshop fee of $200 waived. Free admission for the 6 hr workshop scheduled on Friday February 20, 2015 from 10am - 4pm at South Cobb Recreation Center 875 Six Flags Dr. Austell, GA 30168.
25 Runner ups to receive $25 towards their admission into 1 day workshop as well on 2/20/15.
Eligibility – Applicants must be at least 18 years and up at the time of submission.
How to apply – Upload your 300 word essay to the email listed above in one of these formats doc, docx or pdf. Application fee is $10.00 and each applicant who is not selected to win, will receive this amount as their discount from the regular $200 cost leaving them with a registration fee of $190.00. This workshop has a value of $400 which is the normal cost to attend a 1 day Grant Writing workshop anywhere in the U.S. Therefore all winners and attendees are receiving a great savings for the training that will be provided.
